Gap of the Iridium spark plug?

Well I am running a gap of .043 on my Iridiums and have had not a single problem. I was running some Hi-po Platinums at the same gap b4 the Iridium's so I know that the Iridiums could go further but why? Good luck

I am running .049 right now with no problems. I have a MSD SCI box with a Blaster SS coil and MSD wires. This is with 9 psi of boost on a built motor though.

I have a plan to install JRSC kit on my 2000 GSR. I got Denso Iridium IK22 that is gapped 8mm from factory. I heard that JR recommend 9mm (0.035~0.038") for the gap. I think that I have to adjust the iridium plug differently because it has thinner tip that requires less voltage to make spark. Should I apply the same gap as other conventional plugs? Or, please let me know the gap for iridium plug that I plan to use with JRSC.
